It would be nice if...
Since I like dreaming up what the world SHOULD be like, I'll continue to add to my list.
Thus, it would be nice if...
* Love could be turned off like a light switch. Experience shows this is just not the way God designed our hearts. I fully intend to have words with "The Big Guy Upstairs" on this matter. Someday.
* I could live near the mountains and the beach. Of course, I'll always prefer the mountains, but a girl could get used to sun-bathing on white sands.
* Every bartender developed skill for his/her craft. The older I get the more I realize, not all Long Island Iced Teas are created equal.
* We lived in an era of monorails, i.e. the space-age I imagined for America as a second grader. Let's be honest... it would be spiffy to visit fam and friends quickly, easily, and inexpensively via monorail.
* Second languages were easy to master. I'm forever remediated to a basic mastery of French and fail completely at all other languages.
* Friends never had ulterior motives.
* Hard lessons could be learned in an easier way. This is a pretty pathetic desire, but I think we've all been there-- growing in depth of character but not appreciative of the pain it takes to get there.
* Healing didn't feel so much like brokenness.
* Jersey tourists were every where. They are so entertaining.
* Clearance shoes were always in my size. Instead, they're typically size 5 or 11. Uncool.
* Everyone liked to talk about books as much as TV shows.
